What's inspiring me right now? I haven't made a collage in what feels like years. I should really get back into making them. Incredibly therapeutic. So, here I am this Sunday, sharing a peek inside my mind. Do you like it?
Glittery eye shadow, Natasha Poly in smokey eyes at Versace for H&M, dalmatian print, Ashley Olsen in red velvet for Vogue, Adriana Lima channeling a Superhero at the 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Miranda Kerr's off duty street style in New York, Chocolate pudding, Christmas flavored coffee, Cat-eye sunglasses, Faux fur coats from Topshop, Kirsten Dunst, Karlie Kloss, Robert Sheehan as Nathan Young on Misfits, the Beach, Lindsey Wixson, Anna Selezneva and Jimmy Choos!
And now for the Winners of the STRANDED LABEL Giveaway! Congratulations to Alicia Gummers (Je T'aime Eiffel Tee) and Kate (Love Sweatshirt) .. I will be emailing you both with the details.

How was your Thanksgiving yesterday? For those of you celebrating, hope it went well. I'm still stuffed. Today, I wanted to share a quick update with you on one of my Projects. A few months ago, I was approached by a local Style magazine to contribute my own column. Here I am hunting local boutiques for stylish pieces to wear in my third issue. I can't wait to share the looks I came up with ..soon. The next issue hits stands early 2012.

Here are the previous two issues featuring Fashion Chalet in Triangle Style magazine. If you live in the Triangle, North Carolina area, be sure to pick up a copy at your local supermarket or library for a peek.

Armani Exchange Sequin Blazer
Again Gold Sequin Little Black Dress
Zara Gold Sequin Clutch
Maybelline Red Lipstick
Dolce and Gabbana suede wedges
This sequin blazer from
Armani Exchange is made up of primarily dark, glittering sequins. I wanted to add even more shine to the overall look by layering different colored sequins. The Holidays is a time of year when you can get away with more costumey pieces... other than,
say, at Fashion Week. That's when I pounced on this little black dress. The entire skirt is adorned in gold, mirrored sequins and seemed to be the missing puzzle piece I needed. The sequined blazer and little black dress just seemed to marry well. As for the footwear? I nearly forgot about these suede platform wedges until I spotted them, way in the back of my wardrobe, smiling at me. Yearning to be worn again. The gold sequin clutch, the last dusting of shine. Going bare legged in this minidress is something I won't get to do much of once Christmas gets closer, tights will become a must with any short dress. Luckily, this mid-November weather is refreshing and not freezing ...not yet, anyway.
What do you think about the idea of layering sequins this Holiday season?

Dolce & Gabbana suede wedges
A sneak peek of what I'll be wearing on Thanksgiving day.. I love these Dolce and Gabbana shoes. When it gets colder, I can have fun pairing them with thick tights and chunky sweaters.
Soon, a shoe closet clean-out. If you're size US 8 or US 8.5 You're in luck. Stay tuned :)

Rag & Bone Cropped Sweater
Armani Exchange Motorcycle Jacket
Maybelline Red Lipstick
Banana Republic Blouse
American Eagle Skinny Jeans
Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag
Topshop Ankle boots
Finally, the debut of two new items I've been excited to wear. My red
Rag & Bone cropped sweater and these chunky, Topshop ankle boots. To answer a few questions I received on
Facebook and
Twitter (they are tremendously comfortable) and fit much better than the Acne pistol boots. I tried those on in New York, unfortunately they pinched my toes. These boots from
Topshop fit like a dream.
I'm infatuated with this motorcycle jacket with its amazing woven detail on the shoulders and sleeves. Easily reminiscent of the early nineties and modern day Balmain. I can imagine supermodel, Freja Beha all over this jacket.
By the way, I may be clearing out some shoes from my closet (size 8/8.5 US) let me know if you're interested? :)
