Christian Louboutin was already a household name for me. I always admired the classic heels and the pretty red soles. They spoke in French to me. I never actually splurged on a pair before, afraid they would prove too difficult to walk in. Au contraire, these Pigalle pumps have to be the most comfortable, easy to walk in, stilettos I own to date! I'm now left with a serious itch to splurge on pair after pair...after pair.
My First Crop Top! I finally caved and dove right into test driving this cute trend yesterday. One of my personal icons from the eighties, Kelly Kapowski, wore crop tops and off the shoulder knits with such ease on Saved by the Bell. I decided to start with a neutral, soft heather grey. What do you think?
D&G Spring Pinks and Greens I want nothing more than to slip my feet into these towering D&G platforms. I already have the ocean blue polish... and what about the floral pink mini dresses? So cute on the catwalk and off...
Skinny Jeans have fast become my favorite jeans. That's not to say I don't favor other styles as well, I just happen to find skinny jeans the easiest to wear. Virtually any shoe goes. Here's a quick video of me wearing some of my favorite pairs. Asos Pink Lace-Up Biker and my trusty twiggy karma James Jeans.
Let me know what you thought in the Comment box below...have a great weekend :)
My shoes came in yesterday, some of you may have already seen this on Twitter.
Christian Louboutin, Victoria's Secret and Fruit. Now that's my kind of breakfast... and for those of you who missed it the Louboutin winner was announced yesterday afternoon on Facebook congrats!!
A Roman Ritual This is the beautiful dress I decided to wear out to dinner on my Wedding anniversary date. How do you like it? I have always gravitated towards teals and turquoise hues during the warm, summer months. These colors tend to compliment my tan. Now, living up North I have little to no tan. I need to bring it back. Good thing I'm planning a beach getaway for the summer.
***Check out Who Won the Christian Louboutin Shoes on my Facebook page here. I will be announcing later today. Good luck, girls!
Electric Orange Wearing a bright, traffic stopping color like this can seem extreme for some. How to tone it down? Like a recipe, other ingredients are essentially needed. A black blazer, skinny jeans, fantastically tall platforms and an oversize leopard print clutch were mine. Sprinkle in a gold watch, pink lipstick and a sunny smile and we're done. I also managed to sneak in the fluorescent hue on my nails for a very exciting business meeting today.
Here Comes the Sun is the song that came to mind while trying this dress on. I wanted to play with chunky ankle boots and pretty makeup. The dress is body conscious in a way, completely form-fitting and flattering. The color is ideal for this season and matched the hearty brown leather bag with ease. I took this dress for a spin last weekend to a coffeehouse and then a jazz concert.
Michaela Bercu, eighteen at the time, was shot for US Vogue in November 1988. This was Anna Wintour's first issue as Editor-in-Chief. The photograper? Peter Lindbergh. His candid approach marked a fresh new take for Cover photography. Michaela claimed to have gained a bit of weight and found the full suit by Christian Lacroix too binding to wear. Instead, she paired the splashy jacket with $40 acid washed jeans. The photo was never intended to be for the cover. She never thought mixing a couture jacket with mainstream jeans would become so impacting. This was the first time jeans were shown on a Vogue cover. As the underlying theme of the issue: "haute but not haughty..." the iconic image made for the perfect visual fit. The styling was ahead of its time and still just as inspiring today. Glamour meets laid-back casual cool. How very Vogue indeed!
There isn't a better feeling in the World than love. When you first fall in love or start to crush on someone, everything in your life seems happier, shinier somehow. The crazy butterflies slash pterodactyls in your stomach make you feel as if you're spiraling out of control. Like a roller coaster ride, scary and fun. When I first learned about the Boy Meets Girl line that's exactly what I thought about … love. Especially first love. I thought I'd share what I find most attractive in a guy: a great sense of humor is of the utmost importance. If a guy can make me laugh, he's already won my heart. I like a clean cut guy, short hair does it for me. I don't care if he likes Fashion just so long as he doesn't look sloppy. I have a thing for cute accents (Jon Rhys Meyers) or lisps.. a la Edward Norton or Seth Cohen. Yes, make me laugh and a crush is guaranteed to ensue.

I can't believe how fast time flies. Four years ago today was my Wedding day. We met in College and the rest was History. Since our dating days he always enjoyed photography and taking my picture. Lucky thing too. Little did I or he know that one day Fashion blogging would become a part of both of our lives. I'm so happy to have a best friend and soulmate all in one. We know each other so well we'd win just about any Newlyweds/Marriage game!
Monday Martini White Blazer, Alexander Wang Pocket Tank, Ralph Lauren Silver Watch, Asos Lace Up Pink Biker Skinny Jean, Storets blue wedges
Isabel Marant never ceases to amaze my subconscious. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Kate Bosworth wears her S/S 11 pieces all of the time. I still want to get my hands on the tan ankle booties. In the meanwhile, these near identical pink jeans from Asos quell my fixation. I seem to be very into neutrals and pastels this summer.
Whenever encountering pastels in Fashion, I can't help but think of dessert. There is something so inviting about the soft colors. This has to be my new favorite jacket. Part cape and all lace. It has a very vintage feel in design. I have a feeling it would mingle well with both Chloe Sevigny and Harley Vierra Newton's wardrobes.
I really enjoyed reading all of your outfit ideas for the Brashy Couture giveaway. You still have until Saturday to enter. Good luck! :)
