The girls surprised me with a pre-Birthday lunch yesterday. We went Greek! There was Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie) This is an authentic, really rich pie stuffed with spinach, onions, cheeses and herbs that are all enfolded by crispy, flaky phyllo dough. We also had Grape leaves and Mediterranean salads all around. I'm anxious to find out what other surprises are in store for me tonight!?!!

Spanakopita is delish! We've got a big Greek community in Toronto and have some amazing restaurants as a result. Every summer they close the Danforth (a major street in Toronto) for a festival "Taste of the Danforth" and all the shops and restos set up stands outside and everyone comes out for some great food and to just have fun, it's amazing.
Hope you had the best birthday and maybe even got a nice pressie or two :) That closet you wanted perhaps?
