Lately I've been craving 3 things. 70's making a big splash of a comeback in Summer fashion. Reading Harriet the Spy (and finding the film on DVD) .... I used to keep a spy notebook myself when I was young. I also learned about tomato sandwiches from Harriet. How cool is it that Michelle Trachtenberg was Harriet the Spy and is now Georgina Sparks on Gossip girl? And lastly, I'm really excited about the special Father's day barbecue planned for this weekend.

I'm just in love with the highwaisted pants and the feminine silhuette, it makes a good contrast to the more rock-ish style I'm sporting the rest of the time..

I love the "Clarice Bean" books by Lauren Child. Clarice Bean, the main heroine, adores Ruby Redfort, who was I guess inspired by Harriet the Spy, because she is a girl detective too. ANd I always admired Ruby and Clarice too, and spying on family memebers was one of my favourite pastimes when I was little..
Oh, here Father's Day was in May.. So maybe you're having the barbecue now? I'm going to a barbecue party later today too! I'll think of you ;-)
